I wish to acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land on which I take inspiration and create work on, the Boon Wurrung people of the Kulin nation and I pay my respect to their Elders past, present and emerging.

Bec Armstrong is a multidisciplinary artist who works across drawing, painting & installation.

Since completing a Bachelor of Fine Art (Distinction) at RMIT, Bec's work has appeared in a number of group exhibitions in Melbourne and solo shows at Off The Kerb Gallery (2015, 2018, 2019) and Alternating Current Art Space (2017). Bec is currently completing her Masters in Arts Management at RMIT.

In 2020 Bec launched the online platform Space Cast, a not for profit, art and music exchange that focuses on supporting and connecting local artists in Victoria while exploring the ideas of space, isolation and connection through music and art.

Bec is influenced by the life cycles and transience of the natural world. Her work and process contemplates mortality, life and death and all the subtle layers that lie between. Bec is inspired by the ephemeral nature of our existence. She is constantly investigating how to translate this frailty visually onto paper.
